Norton Internet Security Users

If you are using Norton Internet Security 2007 or earlier, feel free to call us at 877-878-SPOT and we’ll walk you through the steps necessary to view our site. Or you can follow the steps below and adjust the settings yourself.

Norton Internet Security 2007 (or earlier) is set to block popup ads and other web advertising. Unfortunately it also mistakes Spot Runner’s ad library as this type of third party advertising. Following the steps below, you can add Spot Runner to your “whitelist,” which will allow you to browse and use Spot Runner’s ad library. This will not effect or disable your popup blocker or security for any other websites.

Please select the version of Norton Internet Security you are running: 2006 or 2007.

Norton 2006

1. Open Norton Internet Security, then click “Options” near the top and select “Norton AntiSpam” from the drop-down menu:
2. In the left sidebar under “Ad Blocking”, select “General”, then click the “Advanced” button:
3. In the window that appears, click the “Add Site” button in the lower left:
4. In the dialogue box that appears, enter “spotrunner.com” and click “OK”:
5. Now select spotrunner.com in the left column and click the “Add” button:
6. A new dialogue box will appear. Select the “Permit” option on the left and enter “ads” in the text field, then click “OK”:
7. Click “OK” at the bottom, and then close the Norton application.

Norton 2007

1. Open the Norton Protection Center and click the "Norton Add-On Pack" tab:
2. Under settings, select "Ad Blocking," then click the "Advanced" button:
3. In the window that appears, click the “Add Site” button in the lower left:
4. In the dialogue box that appears, enter “spotrunner.com” and click “OK”:
5. Now select spotrunner.com in the left column and click the “Add” button:
6. A new dialogue box will appear. Select the “Permit” option on the left and enter “ads” in the text field, then click “OK”:
7. Click “OK” at the bottom, and then close the Norton application.

That’s all. You should now be able to see the Spot Runner Ads tab which will take you to the Spot Runner Ad Library.
